Our Vision and Aims

Our Vision and Aims

At Waterthorpe Nursery Infant School we make the journey for life long learning by all pulling together to:

  • Learn and achieve
  • Keep safe and happy
  • Live healthily and enjoy ourselves

We aim to:

  • Enable all children and families to be fully involved with education, their own learning and the life of the school and to ensure inclusion, equality and provision for all regardless of ethnic group, gender, religion or special need.
  • Enable pupils to become confident as both independent and co-operative learners.
  • Provide an enjoyable curriculum that meets the needs of our children and supports them in achieving their full potential.
  • Support all children in learning the necessary skills to keep safe and healthy through healthy eating, exercise and a respect for themselves, others and their environment.
  • Ensure that all children are happy and secure in their environment so that they may grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, morally, creatively and physically.
  • Provide opportunities for children, through the environment and resources, to develop the necessary skills for their roles in a changing society.

Waterthorpe Nursery Infant School recognises the importance of staff, governors, parents and the community working in partnership for the good of our children.
