Computing
Our curriculum statement for Computing is:
“Computing is when is where we learn how to use technology and electronic devices,
including computers and IPADs.”
Our children know what the subject of Computing involves, and what they will learn in their year group.

At Waterthorpe Nursery Infant School we aim to promote an enjoyment and interest in Computing, by developing children’s Computational thinking and creativity. We aim to give children the tools to navigate the ever changing world of technology through exploration of various types of technology; including ‘switched off’ resources. We recognise that computing has deep links with other subjects including mathematics, science, and design technology, and we aim to utilise a cross curricular approach to embed pupils’ learning across a range of subjects using computing as a vehicle.
